Sapphire Blues Share New Single “Daydream”

I’m pretty sure i’ve already said this before, but Bristol band “Sapphire Blues” just keep getting better and better, so forgive me if I sound like a broken record, but their new single “Daydream” without a doubt proves that. Released via “Blitzcat Records,” “Daydream” further explores the Post-Punk style the band have perfected and touches on a subject that isn’t new by any means, but is undoubtedly relatable. Our spirits can be damaged by a routine of overworking and excessive amounts of pills to help us smile through it all, but is this truly the way of adulthood? It’s a question too complicated to answer, but the band have shared a song to make us feel less alone, and to daydream of a brighter future. You can listen to “Daydream” below:

Sapphire Blues Share New Single “Ourselves Forgotten”

Bristol’s own “Sapphire Blues” have released a new single titled “Ourselves Forgotten” via “Blitzcat Records.” The track further explores the unsparing Post-Punk-laden style the band have perfected with dark and impressively catchy anxiety-inducing instrumentation with observant lyrical content that is “influenced by small town boredom and an urge to get away from memories under the skin of every street. Losing yourself on the weekend, over and over again, hanging to your daydreams as a means of escape.” You can listen to “Ourselves Forgotten” below:

Normal Average People Share New Single “Lemo // Memo”

South East London duo “Normal Average People” have released their second single “Lemo // Memo.” This follows their debut “Baggy Ankles.” Proving the band have immense versatility, “Lemo // Memo” is more melodic than its raucously confrontational predecessor, and features a hint of 60’s Psychedelia all while maintaining their Alternative/Post-Punk style. “Lemo // Memo” will appear on the band’s upcoming E.P. The Moon Salon which will be released on August 26th via “Blitzcat Records.” The E.P. is named after the rehearsal space of the bar members Sam and Emil used to work at where they would sneak back in after the bar would close and bring out amps they had hidden during the week. PLAY DEAD Share New Song “Shaun”

South London trio “PLAY DEAD” are just two singles in and they already show much promise. It’s safe to say we can add the band to the list of Post-Punk scholars who bring innovation to the beloved genre along with “IDLES,” “Shame,” “Hotel Lux,” etc. The band’s second single “Shaun” was released today, and it’s even more infectious than it’s predecessor “Whitstable,” raucously delivering a “Garage Rock” grunginess while the band sings about member Ollie Clarke’s nan’s boyfriend who is described by the band as “a gentle giant with a short fuse who got arrested for punching a man off his bike in Brixton. He enjoys pies, pints, and Coldplay.” Very few of us are lucky enough to get our own theme song, and Shaun now has the perfect one. You can listen to “Shaun” below:
